Maintenance Review Board( MRB) / Flight Operations Evaluation Board (FOEB) Coordinator
Job Summary
The FOEB/MRB Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness, safety, and operational efficiency of our cutting-edge eVTOL or aerospace products. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering, quality, manufacturing, flight operations, and regulatory authorities (such as the FAA and EASA). The coordinator will manage the process for evaluating and dispositioning non-conforming materials and processes, as well as coordinating the development of maintenance, training, and operational requirements for our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Non-Conformance Management: Manage and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and other quality notifications. You'll facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) meetings with cross-functional teams to analyze discrepancies, determine root causes, and define corrective actions. This includes evaluating whether a non-conforming part can be used "as is," repaired, reworked, or scrapped.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact with regulatory bodies and represent the company in FOEB and MRB meetings. You'll ensure all maintenance, operational, and training programs align with regulatory standards and requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all board activities, decisions, and action items. This involves creating and submitting reports, such as the Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR), and ensuring all records are in compliance with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Program Development: Support the development and review of the aircraft's initial maintenance program (MRBR), operational suitability requirements, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, manufacturing, quality assurance, and flight operations teams to ensure a seamless flow of information and a common understanding of technical and regulatory requirements. This includes providing real-time support to production and assembly lines to resolve issues impacting schedule and quality.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the FOEB/MRB process to enhance efficiency, reduce rework, and improve overall product quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the aerospace or a similarly regulated industry, with a strong background in quality assurance, manufacturing, or engineering. Previous experience with MRB processes is highly desirable.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of aircraft design, manufacturing processes, and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100). Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (FAA, EASA) and the certification process for new aircraft is a plus, particularly for novel aircraft types like eVTOL.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills: The ability to clearly and concisely convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills: The capacity to analyze technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Organizational and project management skills: The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous in documenting and tracking all actions to ensure compliance and traceability.
Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have)
