Iron Bird, Propeller & Structure Test Lead

We're building the future of air mobility and need a skilled Iron Bird, Propeller & Structure Test Lead to join our team. This is a critical role responsible for planning, executing, and leading component testing for our eVTOL's electrical systems, propulsion equipment, and motors.

You will be at the heart of our engineering process, ensuring our eVTOL's foundational technology is rigorously tested and validated for quality, safety, and performance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and development of advanced test systems and equipment for electrical, propulsion, and motor components.
  • Design, build, and maintain test rigs and all necessary equipment.
  • Create comprehensive test plans, detailed scenarios, and technical specifications for each test.
  • Oversee and execute component testing, monitoring tests in real-time to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Document test results, perform in-depth data analysis, and prepare clear, concise reports.
  • Use test findings to identify technical issues and propose improvements for future designs and testing processes.
  • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in building and leading the design of measurement systems for electrical, propulsion, or motor components.
  • Hands-on experience with LabVIEW.
  • Experience in electrical/electronic testing.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in embedded software development.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience creating VBA macros.
  • Experience creating test harnesses.
  • Experience with CANalyzer.
  • Background in circuit design.
  • A valid driver's license.

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Toyota Test Field - Asuke, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture
    • Measures to Prevent Secondhand Smoke: Not Available
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
    • In the case of flextime: No core time
    • Discretionary Labor System: Specialized Class Deemed working hours per day: 10 hours
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00　End 18:00（Including 1hour break time）
    • Overtime Work: Available

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year（Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays（12/29～1/3） / Company designated holidays）
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

 

Salary

  • Estimated Annual Salary: JPY 6,850,000- JPY 13,000,000 
  • Monthly Salary: JPY 571,000 - JPY 1,084,000
    • Includes fixed overtime pay for 45 hours, amounting to JPY 197,680 - JPY  375,239
      *Additional overtime pay will be provided for hours exceeding the fixed overtime.
  • To be determined based on skills, experience, and abilities
