Product Planning Specialist

Outline of the Job

We are seeking an aviation industry expert with at least 10 years’ related product development experience, to help provide world-class technical solutions for our teams, our customers and other SkyDrive stakeholders in support of SkyDrive’s eVTOL product development. The role's primary objective will be to contextualize market and customer requirements and their technical implication towards product development.  In doing so, you will be acting as the vital bridge between the business development teams and the engineering design teams.

Key Responsibility

  • Market research to stay informed of eVTOL technical advancement and their implications to SkyDrive’s own product development
  • Conduct technical comparisons against competing eVTOL and small helicopter types
  • Conduct technical analysis related to eVTOL ground and flight operations
  • Assess the technical requirements for eVTOLs regarding supporting infrastructure, in particular Vertiport development and associated Ground Support Equipment
  • Liaison with both Engineering and Business Development teams
  • Collaborate on projects with other Corporate Planning Groups, such Customer Support and Flight Operations
  • Focal for answering technical and product related questions from customers and stakeholders
  • Prepare product related technical and marketing material for internal and external users
  • Business travel in support of customer visits, demos, and exhibitions

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Commercial Aircraft Product Life Cycle Process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of certification regulations pertaining to both aircraft and operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of field operations and actual experience either in aircraft operations, maintenance, and/or planning 
  • Experience writing and preparing technical related documents and manuals
  • Experience creating business level presentations and delivering informative material to live audiences, both external and internal to the company
  • Ability to evaluate aircraft performance and operating costs
  • Be able to assess competitor aircraft positioning with limited available data
  • Understand the opportunities to improve an aircraft’s value proposition
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders

Desirable Skills

  • Japanese langage proficiency not required but considered an asset

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture
    • Measures to Prevent Secondhand Smoke: Smoking Room Provided
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
    • In the case of flextime: No core time
    • Discretionary Labor System: Specialized Class Deemed working hours per day: 10 hours
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)
    • Overtime Work: Available

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

Salary

  • Estimated Annual Salary: JPY 6,850,000- JPY 10,000,000
  • Monthly Salary: JPY 571,000- JPY 833,340
    • Includes fixed overtime pay for 45 hours, amounting to JPY 197,680- JPY 288,489
      *Additional overtime pay will be provided for hours exceeding the fixed overtime.
