Strategic Procurement Buyer

Outline of the Job

As the Strategic Buyer, you will manage contracting and procurement of parts for the aircraft assembly line and directly report into the Strategic Procurement Manager. The core accountabilities for this role include supplier relationship management and delivering the commodity strategy for a given mix of suppliers.

  • Support and/or lead key contract negotiations, including completing costs analyses and negotiations on terms and conditions
  • Managing work queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of purchase documents
  • Supplier operations and relationship management within commodity group
  • Cost reduction / cost management to support the cost targets
  • Support and/or lead development and execution of commodity strategies
    * You must be open to traveling up to 25% of the time domestically/internationally.

Team Mission

The Strategic Procurement team transforms the commodity strategy into best cost parts supply by coordinating closely with the supply chain, the customer and the various related groups such as Engineering and Operational Procurement. The Strategic Procurement team is part of the Supply Chain Management function.

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

Salary

  • Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including fixed overtime allowance)
  • To be determined based on skills, experience, and abilities
