Role Overview
We are looking for a Cyber Security Director for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, overseeing the implementation of security programs, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. You will lead teams to protect information assets, manage risks, and respond to emerging threats across all technology environments
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the design, development, and execution of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals.
- Oversee risk assessments, audits, and incident response activities to ensure effective protection against threats.
- Manage and mentor security teams, fostering a proactive and security-first culture across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure consistent security standards across systems and applications.
- Monitor evolving cyber threats and adapt policies, tools, and processes to stay ahead of potential vulnerabilities.
- Report regularly to senior leadership and stakeholders on cybersecurity posture, metrics, and improvement plans.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or information security leadership roles.
- Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs and governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, identity management, and data protection principles.
- Deep knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and SOC 2.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to analyze complex risks, make informed decisions, and drive organization-wide security improvements.
Nice to Haves
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH certification (or equivalent).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and security automation tools.
- Background in incident response management, threat intelligence, or forensic analysis.
