The Role in a Nutshell
Are you an expert in database management with experience on the IBM AS400/iSeries platform? We’re looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer to join a dynamic team and support the development, optimization, and management of data warehouse solutions. If you have a strong background in IBM DB2 and SQL, along with the ability to navigate legacy systems, we’d love to hear from you!
Your Day-to-Day
🔹Design, implement, and optimize data warehouse solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
🔹Work with IBM AS400/iSeries platforms, using IBM DB2 and SQL to manage and analyze large datasets.
🔹Reverse engineer and debug existing database environments to enhance performance and functionality.
🔹Write and optimize complex SQL queries, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
🔹Apply data warehousing principles and best practices to manage and organize data effectively.
🔹Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on data architecture and ensure smooth integration across platforms.
Your Key Strengths
🔹Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
🔹3+ years of experience working with the IBM AS400/iSeries platform.
🔹Strong expertise in IBM DB2 and SQL, with a demonstrated ability to write and optimize complex queries.
🔹Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
🔹Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, particularly with legacy systems.
🔹Excellent communication skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
