- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, packaging machines, and other mechanical and electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and productivity loss.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential hazards or risks.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to schedule maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, and coordinate equipment availability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, parts replacement, and maintenance schedules.
- Source and procure necessary parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance and repairs, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery, following manufacturer's guidelines and safety protocols.
- Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in warehouse maintenance and equipment repair.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in all maintenance activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields is preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs, work order systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to warehouse operations and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as required.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
