We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer of Fulfillment Center Operations with experience scaling high-performing teams to join us in delivering our promise to merchants: Stress Less, Grow More.
What you'll do / Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining, developing, and implementing optimized operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety within our warehouse facility.
- This role plays a critical part in designing and executing innovative engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges within delivery station networks, focusing on the interaction between human operators and equipment.
- Apply advanced concepts such as capacity modeling, process analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies to develop practical, data driven solutions that address operational bottlenecks and improve performance.
- Responsibilities include conducting thorough evaluations of warehouse processes, such as workflow design, material flow, equipment utilization, and inventory management, and recommending improvements to streamline operations.
- Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) aimed at increasing safety, accuracy, and efficiency within warehouse environments.
- Develop and present process flow diagrams, value stream maps, and other visual tools to communicate changes and monitor performance metrics.
- Design and implement automated material handling equipment and robotic systems to support high-volume operations and reduce manual intervention.
- Identify and recommend new machinery, tooling, and automation technologies aligned with safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Collaborate closely with the maintenance team to ensure that the equipment is properly maintained and optimized for maximum efficiency.
- Conduct regular process audits to identify compliance gaps, mitigate risk, and ensure adherence to internal policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, engineering advancements, and emerging technologies in warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, engineering management or a closely related field, and
- Five (5) years of experience in job offered or in an engineering role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Special Requirements:
- Must have five (5) years of experience with process mapping material flow utilizing statistical analysis tools with continuous process improvement methodologies using Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen improvement frameworks.
- Must have five (5) years’ experience in high volume material production handling systems.
- Must have five (5) years of training experience in safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Must have five (5) years of experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Must have three (3) years of experience utilizing engineering software including AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and Project Management.
- Must have three (3) years of experience with design and implementation of automated material handling equipment and robotic systems.
Work Schedule: 40 + hours a week
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000
