ShipMonk is currently seeking a People & Culture (Human Resources) Generalist to be based in our fulfillment center in Fort Worth, TX. This position is responsible for supporting both our Operations and People & Culture Teams. What you'll do:

  • The P&C Generalist will be a primary partner to the TX site and secondary support to 2-3 additional sites. The Generalist partners closely with operational leaders to drive and monitor critical People & Culture initiatives. Lead with data and bring your unique point of view to nurture a positive experience for team members
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to interview and onboard new team members. Be a primary point of contact for team members to ensure they have the information needed to be successful
  • Ensure accuracy of the workforce and updating employment status changes in our HRIS
  • Partner with operations leaders to draft and deliver attendance and performance feedback, in order to drive a high performing culture
  • Write, revise, edit, and proofread company policies & procedures and related documents as needed. Strive for continuous process improvement
  • Draft and communicate key updates and announcements to team members using our internal messaging tools
  • Partner with building leaders to create a fun and engaging environment that encourages retention and a culture of growth
  • Conduct and consult in local employee investigations
  • Perform other general HR tasks as assigned
  • Have opportunities for growth - including learning about and partnering with other regions, and supporting strategic corporate initiatives

What you'll need:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience administering general human resources duties preferred
  • Candidates with experience and familiar knowledge of California employment laws will be prioritized
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms (we use Paylocity and Greenhouse)
  • Must be proficient in Google Suite, especially Google Docs and Sheets. You will be performing mail merges in Google Docs and using advanced Google Sheets functions (pivot tables, advanced formulas, conditional formatting, collaboration tools)
  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills. Good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential. You will be walking the warehouse floor each day and interacting with a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. The general workweek is Monday through Friday, however during busy seasons (especially our Q4 peak season), additional time may be required outside of the standard weekday schedule.

This position is fully onsite at our Fort Worth, TX location and may require occasional 2nd shift or weekend work
