Head of Finance

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Head of Finance to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and investor relations. You’ll work closely with the CEO and Co-founder to ensure reporting is timely and accurate, and the finance function continues to evolve with the needs of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across functions, and can manage competing priorities with confidence.
Please note: This is a permanent role and requires you to attend the office, 5 days a week (Mon to Fri, 9am - 6pm) - Based in Euston, London.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Act as a strategic finance leader, supporting the Co-founders with insightful financial analysis
- Prepare and deliver board decks, presenting financial results and performance with clarity, confidence, and credibility.
- Serve as the primary UK finance contact for US-based investors, building trust and managing investor relations effectively.
- Lead FP&A activities, including forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning, and scenario modelling.
- Design, build, and present robust financial models, effectively navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving business needs.
- Oversee and manage shares and capital tables, ensuring accuracy and compliance with governance requirements.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team, supporting decision-making at both operational and strategic levels.
- Prioritise and respond to requests from multiple stakeholders, managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to shape commercial strategy, pricing, and investment decisions.
- Support fundraising, and other corporate finance activities as needed
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring financial integrity and compliance across the group.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements (ERP, BI tools, reporting) to support scalable growth.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance advisory, investment banking or consulting
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and the ability to manipulate large datasets and extract actionable business insights.
- Proven ability to communicate with and influence investors, boards, and executive stakeholders at a senior level.
- Strong technical knowledge of equity, capital structures, and shareholder reporting.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders across the business.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and storytelling skills – able to distil complex financial data into clear business insights.
Desirable Skills & Experience (not essential):
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or MBA
- Proficiency in Tableau or similar BI tools
- Experience in the healthcare sector
- Understanding of D2C subscription metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, CAC, churn)
