As an experienced and passionate front-end developer, you want to play a central role in the creation of smart and innovative code and implement new features that are used by millions of people worldwide. As part of an agile and friendly team, you will play a key and direct role in Sedo's success and shape our domain marketplace and thus the customer gateway to our domain-related products and services.

  • Co-responsibility for the creative redesign of our marketplace.
  • Designing and creating UI's for new applications as well as customisations, depending on UX feedback and research.
  • Developing and implementing reusable and solid responsive front-end components.
  • Identifying and fixing performance and maintenance issues.
  • Updating our applications to keep them at the cutting edge of technology.
  • Active participation in agile work processes.

Our technology stack:

  • JavaScript (Vue 3, React, Next.js) for our new frontends and single page applications.
  • REST APIs based on Java Spring Boot are our backends.
  • Continuous delivery system including Git, Helm and Jenkins.
  • Google Analytics and Hotjar for customer analysis and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies in media informatics, successfully completed training as a media designer or comparable qualifications (career changers with relevant professional experience).
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as a frontend web developer.
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Javascript, Typescript, React, Next.js and Vue.js (optional).
  • Solid knowledge of unit testing.
  • Sound knowledge of mobile-first development and responsive layouts.
  • Curiosity for technical innovations, hands-on, creativity and ability to work in a team.
  • Very good language skills in English, German as a plus.

Nice-to-have: 

  • Experience with web analytics using Google Analytics or Hotjar.
  • Experience with the UI design tool Figma.
  • Experience with CI e.g. Docker, Jenkins, Helm.
