Position Overview

Sedna is seeking a motivated Front-end Developer to join our dynamic Engineering team in Cape Town. In this role, you will help build and maintain the visual and interactive elements of our web applications, ensuring an intuitive user experience. Working closely with back-end engineers and Product Designers, you will implement user interface components and contribute to our mission of transforming global trade.

Your Contributions

• Build responsive user interface components using Typescript and React.
• Write clean and maintainable code for front-end applications.
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to integrate applications effectively.
• Implement designs and provide feedback to improve web functionality and user experience.
• Help optimize applications for performance across different devices.
• Keep up with web development trends and apply new technologies where appropriate.

Who We're Looking For

• A Front-end Developer with 3-5 years of experience building web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Good understanding of front-end development tools and methodologies, including version control and testing frameworks.
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively with the design team.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within a mission-driven organisation.
