Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join Sedna’s growing Cape Town office. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for championing the quality and reliability of our data-driven communication platform. You will work closely with development teams to implement comprehensive testing strategies and maintain high standards of software quality.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
  • Perform thorough functional, regression, and integration testing of web applications
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and customer support teams to understand user needs and ensure that our solutions exceed their expectations.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools and systems
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to development teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies
  • Help maintain and develop automated test suites
  • Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation and user guides
  • Participate in squad ceremonies and contribute to project planning and evaluation

 

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience in software QA and testing
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Familiarity with API testing and REST principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
