Job Title: Talent Coordinator
Reporting to: Head of Talent
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Talent Coordinator to join our HR team. This role focuses predominantly on recruitment, onboarding, and talent development.
Supporting the Head of Talent and our Talent Managers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of recruitment and talent development at Schillings. Your excellent administrative and organisational skills will help drive efficiency and effectiveness in talent acquisition and development.
A key part of your role will be coordinating recruitment through our applicant tracking system, Greenhouse. This includes managing candidate sourcing and screening, scheduling interviews and tests, researching talent markets, and drafting job adverts. Additionally, you will assist with managing our annual talent calendar, which includes scheduling internal meetings, preparing materials, updating trackers, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
We believe that administrative processes should be as efficient as possible, ensuring an excellent service to stakeholders while achieving our objectives. Since we predominantly use a direct recruitment model, the successful candidate will need to build strong relationships with colleagues and candidates alike, acting as an ambassador for both the talent team and Schillings.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised administrator with an interest in recruitment and talent development, seeking a role in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

- Internal Communications – Updating the Careers page on the staff intranet, keeping recruitment and talent materials up-to-date, and managing team organograms.
- Recruitment – Occasional delivery of entry-level recruitment, with support from the Talent Managers and Head of Talent when necessary. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, making offers, and managing the full recruitment cycle.
- Onboarding- Alongside colleagues creating and sharing offer paperwork, coordinating pre-employment checks and documentation, and organising inductions and welcoming new joiners to Schillings and/or Schillings Communications.
- Work Experience Ownership – Managing the full work experience process, from application screening to program coordination and university engagement.
- Ad-hoc duties and HR administrative tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative or recruitment role.
- You will be looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge to progress your career in a fast paced, dynamic environment that invests in its people.
- A self-starter who demonstrates initiative, actively seeks improvements, and takes responsibility for optimising processes.
- A highly organised individual with exceptional attention to detail, capable of improving existing administrative processes to optimise efficiency.
- A skilled communicator (written and verbal) who enjoys team collaboration and building relationships. Able to manage stakeholder expectations and keep the Talent team informed.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, balancing urgent short tasks with longer-term projects. Able to communicate deadlines, delays, issues, and solutions effectively.
- Resilient and remains calm under pressure.
- A team player with a positive can-do attitude.
Life at Schillings
Given our audacious (and successful) business strategy, it is not surprising that Schillings has a very strong culture. The atmosphere is highly collaborative and focused on excellence. We have worked hard over the years to develop a coaching culture and are remarkably non-hierarchical, especially given our roots as a law firm. Schillings has adopted a set of values to put at the heart of this change and they reflect the intention and tenor of our ambitious plans. They are: ‘Innovative; Bold; United; and Excellent’. Our client list speaks for the outstanding results that have been delivered over many years and the task now is to grow without losing any of the commitment to delivering for clients or the service ethos. Finding people who share our values and can thrive in this environment is key to our success.
It takes a unique mix of people to create something truly great. We appreciate that diversity of thought, background and culture creates the best environment to truly innovate, solve problems and achieve our goals. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds – if you are driven and want to achieve your best then we will give you the platform and support to succeed.
Please let us know if there are any extenuating circumstances we should consider, or any adjustments we may need to make to our selection process, when making your application.
