Assistant Manager/Manager, Tenancy & Venue Operations

YOUR ROLE:

You will ensure optimal usage of venues and spaces as well as supporting services in alignment with *SCAPE’s objectives. The Assistant Manager/Manager will support and execute strategies to reinforce positive relationships with various hirers and programme partners.

You will manage and coordinate hirers’ requirements effectively and efficiently as well as facilitating onsite operational support and communication amongst relevant departments to fulfill our service delivery to our hirers, programme partners, and their customers.

YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:

Business Development & Partnership

  • Support and execute overall strategies to ensure *SCAPE remains the preferred venue of choice for hirers, presenters, sponsors, including increasing utilisation of venues and spaces and maximise revenue.
  • Support new business opportunities and partnership models with hirers, helping to develop new venues/spaces for hire and to review the level of venue/support services offered.
  • Provide support for event logistics, working with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and helping to resolve any issues that arise during events.
  • Support Advertising & Promotion (A&P) activities by working with the marketing team on campaigns, commercial and venue hirers communications.
  • Support the organisation’s youth engagement mission by working with other programming colleagues to identify and work with youth-orientated enterprises to host events at venues.
  • Curate, manage and co-ordinate the use of OOH assets and to ensure *SCAPE’s internal needs are balanced with external hirers.
  • Assist in attracting and engaging potential advertisers to drive advertising revenue and contribute to content management tasks.
  • Review and propose improvements to frameworks and standard operating procedures (SOPs), including venue hire framework, rates and charges, policies and processes, contractual terms, and conditions when necessary.

Venue Management

  • Manage and develop portfolio of venue hirer and partner accounts, collaborating with the team to secure new accounts, cultivate networks and relationships and help ensure the accuracy, integrity and mutual implementation of contractual relationships, their terms and conditions and house rules.
  • Work closely with the Estate Team to coordinate maintenance, facilities support, and operational matters, while assisting in resolving venue hirers and vendors concerns or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the administration and monitoring of venue hiring matters, including preparation of venue booking forms, ensuring accuracy of data in venue booking system and ensuring compliance with operational guidelines.
  • Monitor venue utilisation to ensure alignment with *SCAPE’s programming objectives and youth engagement mission.
  • Support HOD in annual departmental workplans, budgets and forecast revenues and expenditure.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Venue operations, Marketing and/or Administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve *SCAPE’s strategic objectives.
  • Positive, proactive and results-oriented with a high degree of professionalism, creativity, and resourcefulness. 
  • Willing and able to support events and operations during evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
