
Manager, Engagement (Volunteer Management)

YOUR ROLE:

Join *SCAPE as our Manager, Engagement, where you will be working with our Engagement team to spearhead dynamic engagement strategies, foster a thriving volunteer ecosystem, and make a tangible impact on youth and community initiatives. This role isn’t just about managing volunteers—it’s about inspiring them! You’ll lead innovative recruitment campaigns, create unforgettable recognition programs, and collaborate across teams to drive volunteer-driven change.
YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
Strategic Volunteer Engagement & Development
- Assist in driving volunteer engagement strategies that align with *SCAPE’s mission.
- Identify new opportunities to deepen volunteer involvement and enhance donor engagement.
- Lead efforts to attract, retain, and recognise volunteers, fostering long-term commitment.
Data-Driven Impact & Program Optimisation
- Develop and maintain a robust Volunteer Management System to track participation and impact.
- Use insights to enhance volunteer program effectiveness and inform strategies
- Implement streamlined processes to ensure seamless volunteer operations and reporting.
Volunteer Engagement & Ecosystem Building
- Cultivate strong relationships with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders to create a thriving volunteer network.
- Design initiatives that promote skill building, leadership, and meaningful volunteer experiences.
- Drive cross functional collaboration to embed a volunteer-first mindset across *SCAPE.
Leadership & Capacity Building
- Take the lead in planning and executing high-impact group-based volunteer initiatives.
- Mentor and support volunteers, ensuring their contributions are integrated into *SCAPE’s programs.
- Promote leadership opportunities, empowering volunteers to take on more active roles.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with key stakeholders within and outside of *SCAPE to strengthen the volunteer ecosystem.
- Provide strategic insights to enhance organisational initiatives through volunteer contributions.
- Advocate for volunteers as key contributors to *SCAPE’s broader goals.
WHO YOU ARE:
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in volunteer management work in social service, volunteer or community development.
- A strategic thinker with a passion for community building and volunteer engagement.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills to connect with diverse volunteer groups.
- Excellent project management and analytical abilities to drive data-informed decisions.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect, build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
