We’re looking for a hands-on IT Support Intern to join our IT team and help us provide outstanding support to our employees across Europe and Australia.
You’ll work closely with Simone (IT Manager) and Anthony (IT Support Specialist), gaining exposure to day-to-day IT operations. Your responsibilities will include supporting new joiners’ onboarding, maintaining our internal tools, and ensuring colleagues have the right hardware, access, and assistance to thrive — whether working remotely or in the office.
This is a full on-site Internship with flexibility, based in our Milan HQ, where your presence will be key to supporting daily operations and building hands-on IT experience in a dynamic, international environment.
You will:
- Assist in preparing laptops and IT accessories for new joiners, ensuring they are fully configured and ready to use
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, helping to set up and revoke access
- Provide first-line support on basic IT issues and escalate when necessary
- Help maintain and update our IT asset inventory (Snipe-IT/Jira Assets) and stock tracking
- Collaborate in writing and improving internal IT documentation and onboarding guides (Confluence)
- Offer support in managing AV and meeting room setups (Logitech + Google Meet)
- Shadow the IT team in daily tasks and gradually take ownership of recurring operations
Who we are looking for:
- Enthusiasm for technology and curiosity about how things work
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn by doing
- Passion for delivering a great employee experience through IT
- A team-oriented mindset with a hands-on, helpful approach
- Basic familiarity with Google Workspace or similar productivity tools, or the motivation to learn quickly (which we’ll fully support)
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Nice to have:
- Some experience with Windows and/or macOS systems (general knowledge and troubleshooting)
- Interest in SaaS, IT support, and workplace technology
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Okta, or Confluence
- Organised and detail-oriented: you like things to run smoothly
- Good communication skills: you can explain technical issues in a simple, clear way
Why you should join Scalapay:
- International environment with significant challenges to be met every day
- Lots of opportunities to work with a team of industry leaders who are focused on delivering products that offer exceptional user experiences
- Personalised support to accelerate your professional growth and take ownership of the products you deliver: we want to help you grow!
Recruiting process:
- A quick chat with one of our Talent Acquisition team members
- A first interview with Simone, the hiring manager, to deep dive into your attitude and motivation
- A case study to test your skills
- A final chat with our CEO where he will share and assess the Scalapay Values
