Patch Management & Vulnerability Specialist
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Patch Management & Vulnerability Specialist to join our IT Security team in Sofia. This role is vital in ensuring our systems remain secure and compliant by managing patch deployments, assessing vulnerabilities, and collaborating across teams to maintain a resilient infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with patching strategies, endpoint management tools, and automation, along with a strong understanding of IT security standards and cross-functional collaboration.
Your Role:
- Develop, implement, and manage patch management strategies for operating systems and applications.
- Coordinate and deploy security updates to protect systems against known vulnerabilities.
- Monitor patch release cycles and assess applicability and risk to organizational assets.
- Schedule and automate patch deployments to minimize disruption and maximize coverage.
- Collaborate with business units to coordinate patching windows and address unique requirements.
- Maintain a feedback loop with end-users to address concerns and minimize disruptions.
- Ensure device compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
- Create and maintain documentation for patch management processes, vulnerability assessments, and security configurations.
- Develop and refine troubleshooting procedures.
- Manage escalations and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
- Contribute to the self-service knowledgebase and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in IT projects, system upgrades, and rollouts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in patch management, system imaging, and application deployment in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with endpoint management tools (e.g., Syxsense, Intune), desktop and server OS, Entra, and ticketing systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with IT security standards and best practices.
- Experience in scripting or automation using PowerShell or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in regulated environments.
- Exposure to vulnerability management frameworks and compliance standards.
