NOC Manager
Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Lead and manage the NOC team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement NOC policies, procedures, and best practices.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless network operations.
Network Monitoring and Incident Management:
Oversee network monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to network issues promptly.
Manage incident response processes, ensuring timely resolution of network incidents.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Performance and Reporting:
Monitor network performance metrics and generate regular reports for senior management.
Identify trends and areas for improvement in network performance and reliability.
Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and other performance metrics.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest network technologies and industry trends.
Recommend and implement network upgrades and improvements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the NOC team.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in network operations or network management roles
Proven experience with network infrastructure technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and security protocols
Strong understanding of network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar
Preferred:
Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
Experience in managing a team and leading complex projects
Familiarity with cloud engineering and networking concepts and services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
