Broadcast Audio Engineer
Job Overview
Join us as a Broadcast Audio Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the clarity, stability, and precision of all audio signals within our NDI-based broadcast ecosystem. Based in our Sofia studio, you’ll manage live audio routing, optimize microphone setups, and maintain high-quality sound across game shows and dealer streams. Your Role
- Manage live audio signal routing via Dante Controller across tables, control rooms, and decoders
- Configure and monitor microphone gain structure, EQ, noise gating, and limiter settings
- Perform daily pre-show audio checks, latency sync verification, and talkback calibration
- Operate and troubleshoot DAS Audio DSP, control room signal paths, and Dante clocking
- Align audio feeds to vMix video inputs, ensuring clean sync across multiple encoders
- Support operator teams with fallback routing, wireless mic changes, and audio dropouts
- Maintain SOPs for audio chain setup, testing, and reporting
- Collaborate with design teams to improve table acoustics and microphone positioning
- Participate in studio calibration sessions and onboarding of new table games
- Document all changes in shift logs and maintenance records
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with Dante audio networking, including routing, clocking, and latency tuning
- Strong understanding of signal chains: preamps, processing, DSP, matrix routing, and gain structure
- Experience with condenser lavalier mics, IFB systems, and multi-channel I/O devices
- Familiarity with broadcast-grade DAWs or DSP tools (Audio Plugins, Q-SYS, Waves, vMix Audio Panel)
- Ability to operate under pressure in real-time production settings
- Comfortable interpreting flow diagrams, patch lists, and acoustic specifications
- Proficient in technical English for interpreting plugin UIs, routing tools, and logs
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in live sound, studio engineering, or broadcast audio operations
- Dante Level 2 or 3 certification is a strong plus
- Experience with vMix audio buses, NDI audio sync behavior, and FFmpeg muxing
- Background in casino, game show, or live IP streaming environments
- Familiarity with analog-to-Dante interface boxes, AES67 compliance, or RTS intercom integration
- Studio tuning experience using measurement tools (REW, SMAART, etc.) is highly desirable
