Profile Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to guide a high-performing, tight-knit team of 3 Developers and 1 QA. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be the bridge between product vision and technical execution. 

This is a role for a leader who still loves being in the trenches: you will spend 40-50% of your time hands-on in the code (NodeJS & Vue.js) while ensuring the team stays aligned, sprints are predictable, and technical debt is managed effectively. We aren't looking for a "savior" or a CTO; we are looking for a technical peer who excels at "playing Lego" with technical scopes and delivering high-quality product increments.

Your responsibilities

  • Hands-on Development: Remain an active contributor to the codebase, tackling complex features and conducting thorough PR reviews to maintain high quality. 
  • Team Alignment & Delivery: Organize the team’s workload, manage the backlog alongside Product, and provide clear technical specs and estimates. 
  • Technical Architecture: Make sound decisions on product-facing interfaces and architecture while collaborating with the team to ensure buy-in. 
  • Product Partnership: Work closely with the Head of Product to assess feasibility, challenge requirements and roadmaps and propose solutions that balance user value with technical constraints. 
  • Mentorship: Support the growth of your team members through technical guidance and a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • AI Curiosity: Drive the adoption of AI tools and features within the product to improve user experience and team productivity. 

What You bring to the table

  • Technical Seniority: Deep, professional experience in the modern JavaScript ecosystem, specifically Vue.js and Node.js
  • Full-Stack Comfort: You are at home diving into both frontend and backend challenges. 
  • Managerial Experience: Proven ability to lead a small team (3-5 people), focusing on accountability, clarity, and maintaining a positive team dynamic. 
  • AI Interest: A strong curiosity for AI; ideally, you have experimented with AI in a product context or through personal side projects. 
  • Product Mindset: You care about the "Why" behind the code and can discuss technical trade-offs in the context of business priorities. 
  • Communication: Fluent in French for team collaboration and professional proficiency in English for group-wide interaction. 
  • Reliability: Based in a time zone compatible with a 9:00 AM Paris time (CET) daily stand-up.
