Director, Procurement
Location: Remote (Preference for London, United Kingdom or United States)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time / Permanent
Travel: International (as required)
- Own global category strategies across critical infrastructure and indirect spend, including:
- Electrical & Mechanical equipment (power, cooling, networking)
- Data center construction and engineering services
- Commissioning, testing, and professional services
- Analyze spend, supply markets, and commodity trends to identify savings, mitigate risk, and improve resilience
- Lead sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and long-term supplier partnerships
- Translate capital expansion plans into detailed procurement strategies and rolling forecasts
- Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Development teams to align procurement with deployment timelines and budgets
- Provide accurate cost modeling, forecasting, and procurement schedules for investment decisions
- Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships and performance metrics (KPIs/SLAs)
- Drive supplier accountability across cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks across global markets
- Build and scale procurement processes, systems, and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and continuous improvement of sourcing practices
- Deliver regular executive reporting on procurement performance, risks, and opportunities
- Partner cross-functionally with senior leaders across Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Programs
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global procurement team
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives on supply chain strategy and market dynamics
- Reliable, cost-efficient supply chain supporting rapid global expansion
- Measurable cost savings and improved supplier performance
- Scalable procurement function aligned with Rubix’s growth in AI infrastructure

Experience with procurement/sourcing experience, including leadership in data center, infrastructure, or industrial environments
- Strong experience in capital equipment sourcing (e.g., MEP systems) and construction/project procurement
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization at scale
- Experience managing global teams and complex, multi-region supply chains
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder influence
- Experience in hyperscale data centers, cloud, AI infrastructure, or energy-intensive industries
- Background in both direct (capex) and indirect procurement categories
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)
