What Impact You Will Have
The Vice President, Strategy & Leasing is a critical global leadership role responsible for defining and executing Rubix's commercial growth strategy across its global infrastructure portfolio.
This role sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, market expansion, commercial structuring, and customer contracting, leading the development of market-entry strategies, customer partnerships, and long-term revenue generation across Rubix's platform.
You will be responsible for translating Rubix's infrastructure investments into scalable, profitable growth by shaping commercial strategy, evaluating new markets and business opportunities, and leading complex leasing transactions with hyperscalers, AI companies, and enterprise customers worldwide.
This is a high-impact executive role for a commercially minded leader who can operate at both the strategic and execution level—helping define where Rubix deploys capital, how it competes, and how it monetizes infrastructure assets globally.

Corporate Strategy & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute Rubix's global commercial and growth strategy
- Evaluate emerging markets, customer demand trends, regulatory environments, and infrastructure opportunities
- Identify and assess new business models, partnerships, and revenue streams that support long-term company growth
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, market prioritization, and capital deployment decisions
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support company-wide decision-making
Leasing Strategy & Commercial Structuring
- Define and execute leasing strategy across Rubix's global portfolio
- Structure complex commercial agreements including:
- Hyperscale and wholesale leasing arrangements
- Build-to-suit data center agreements
- AI infrastructure capacity agreements
- Strategic partnerships and platform-based commercial models
- Align leasing strategies with investment underwriting, capacity planning, and regional expansion priorities
- Develop scalable commercial frameworks and contracting standards across global markets
Deal Origination & Negotiation
- Lead end-to-end negotiation of customer agreements with hyperscalers, AI firms, cloud providers, and enterprise customers
- Serve as the senior commercial lead throughout the entire deal lifecycle
- Structure agreements addressing:
- Capacity commitments and deployment schedules
- Pricing structures and escalation mechanisms
- Service levels and performance requirements
- Expansion rights and future growth commitments
- Renewal provisions and risk allocation frameworks
- Balance customer requirements with Rubix's financial objectives, operational capabilities, and long-term strategic goals
Revenue Growth & Portfolio Optimization
- Develop and manage a diversified portfolio of strategic customer relationships
- Drive long-term revenue visibility and contracted backlog growth
- Optimize commercial structures to maximize:
- Revenue certainty
- Capacity utilization
- Customer retention
- Risk-adjusted returns
- Support the development of pricing strategies and commercial policies globally
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with hyperscalers, AI infrastructure providers, cloud companies, enterprises, investors, and strategic partners
- Identify partnership opportunities that accelerate platform growth and market access
- Support joint ventures, strategic alliances, and innovative commercial structures that create long-term value
- Represent Rubix in senior customer, investor, and strategic stakeholder engagements

- Ensure commercial commitments align with operational, technical, and financial realities

- Support customer engagement around energy-efficient and sustainable AI infrastructure solutions
- Incorporate environmental, market, and regulatory considerations into commercial planning and growth strategies
- Contribute strategic insight that supports Rubix's long-term mission and competitive position
What You'll Need
- 15+ years of experience in corporate strategy, infrastructure development, commercial leadership, investment, real estate, energy, technology infrastructure, or related fields
- Proven track record leading complex commercial negotiations and strategic initiatives across international markets
- Experience working with hyperscalers, AI companies, cloud providers, enterprise customers, or large infrastructure customers
- Strong understanding of:
- Data center markets and infrastructure economics
- Long-term commercial agreements and leasing structures
- Market expansion and growth strategy
- Capital-intensive infrastructure business models
- Risk allocation and commercial structuring
- Experience evaluating and entering new markets across multiple regions
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional decision-making
- Strong commercial, financial, and analytical acumen
- Experience across the infrastructure lifecycle, including development, financing, construction, operations, and investment evaluation
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-scaling environment
Preferred Backgrounds
- Corporate Strategy or Business Development leadership
- Data Center, Infrastructure, Energy, or Telecom Platforms
- Infrastructure Investment or Private Equity
- Commercial Leadership within Hyperscale or Cloud Ecosystems
- Project Finance or Infrastructure Development
- Infrastructure Legal Counsel with significant commercial transaction experience
