Community Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Community Lead based in Latin America/Europe to help develop and support the growing ecosystem of users, developers and advocates harnessing the power of Rootstock, Bitcoin’s DeFi Layer. 

If you’re excited about Bitcoin scaling, BTCFi, and the opportunity to expand what Bitcoin can do beyond being just “digital gold,” this role is for you.

You’ll design and lead programs that bring together people who believe in Bitcoin’s future: developers building DeFi apps secured by Bitcoin, users and institutions finding new ways to put their BTC to work, and advocates spreading the word globally. You’ll also host meaningful online and offline experiences and act as the voice of our community internally.

 

YOUR IMPACT

• Build and execute a scalable community strategy, roadmap, and KPIs aligned with growth and engagement goals
• Oversee and deliver in collaboration with our events team high-impact events (Twitter Spaces, AMAs, IRL meetups) for both technical and non-technical audiences working closely with our conference team 
• Cultivate vibrant, on-brand conversations across key channels like Discord, Telegram, Farcaster, and X
• Lead our Global Ambassador Program, including recruiting, onboarding, activating, and rewarding contributors 
• Act as a community advocate internally, providing feedback loops to product, marketing, and leadership
• Identify, engage, and empower community champions, influencers, and ecosystem collaborators
• Collaborate cross-functionally with developer relations, product, and marketing to align community vision with broader company initiatives
• Monitor and report on community health, sentiment, and growth, iterating on strategy based on insights.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years of experience in community management, at least 2 years in Web3 or a closely related space
• Proven ability to build and nurture online communities that feel alive, inclusive, and aligned with the brand
• Experience organizing both virtual and IRL events, from idea to execution
• Strong communication skills. Written, verbal, and interpersonal, with the ability to set a tone and carry it
• A deep understanding of crypto culture and platforms, you know what makes Web3 communities tick
• Experience leading ambassadors, advocates, or contributor programs is a major plus
• Comfortable working across teams and time zones; you’re proactive, organized, and a self-starter

Nice to have: 

• Bilingual or multilingual skills to support our growing global communities. Spanish is especially valuable, but other languages are also highly appreciated.
• You’re an active member of existing Web3 communities (and not afraid to meme when it matters)
