Automation Engineering Manager - UiPath
Roboyo AI is a category shaper in Applied AI and Agentic Automation. We help leading enterprises move from automation projects and AI experiments into governed, production-grade systems that execute real work across workflows, processes, products and services.
Our heritage is in scaled enterprise automation; our future is Applied AI and Agentic Automation: autonomous agents, AI engineering squads, process orchestration, data and knowledge foundations, and human-in-the-loop governance embedded deeply into how our clients operate.
We are not here to sell AI theatre. We are here to turn AI into working systems, measurable outcomes and repeatable transformation programs.
We are seeking an Automation Engineering Manager to provide authoritative technical guidance and lead the design, governance, and delivery of complex, scalable automation solutions across global engagements. This role combines deep technical/solution leadership with people and delivery management, client advisory, and knowledge leadership. The Manager works under broad direction, is self-initiated and accountable end-to-end — from analysis and solution design through execution and evaluation of outcomes — and carries significant influence over critical technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Own solution design and architecture for complex, scalable, and secure automation implementations built on UiPath and other RPA/intelligent automation technologies.
- Define and enforce technical standards, architectural patterns, and delivery frameworks across projects and global teams.
- Introduce emerging technologies, tools, and methods (e.g., Agentic AI, Process Mining, AI Center) to improve delivery outcomes.
- Anticipate technical and delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies early, aligning stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams across regions.
- Conduct code and design reviews, promoting best practices around CI/CD, testing frameworks, and automation governance.
- Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production challenges.
Advisory Role
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients on automation technology adoption and architecture decisions, maximizing business value, ROI, and long-term strategic alignment.
- Lead proposals for key regional and global clients within your scope of expertise, and support business development through workshops, presentations, and pre-sales discussions.
- Translate technical capabilities into clear business benefits for senior, non-technical stakeholders.
- Represent Roboyo in client workshops and industry forums as a subject-matter expert.
- Co-create long-term technology roadmaps aligned with client business goals.
Knowledge Sharing
- Develop reusable components, frameworks, and accelerators, and maintain visibility as a recognized technical expert through thought-leadership contributions.
- Drive regional capacity building through training programs, awareness sessions, and hands-on enablement to strengthen local delivery capabilities.
- Facilitate technical workshops and discovery sessions to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions.
People & Delivery Management
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of automation engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and career guidance.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of client engagements, ensuring timelines and quality.
- Own technical estimations, delivery planning, and execution across a portfolio of global automation initiatives, with significant influence over the allocation and management of resources required to deliver them.
- Monitor delivery KPIs, manage risks, and ensure compliance with internal processes.
Must Have Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Intelligent Automation/RPA, preferably with UiPath (UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and enterprise-scale automation implementations).
- Experience owning solution architecture and technical design for complex, scalable automation solutions.
- Solid understanding of APIs, SQL, Git/version control, and software engineering best practices.
- Working knowledge of automation testing practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment governance.
- Experience leading and mentoring automation engineering teams, including distributed or global teams.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior/executive and international stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and mobilize teams toward shared goals, coach for performance, and drive strategic alignment across functions.
- Strong commercial mindset — able to identify growth opportunities, contribute to proposals, and act as a trusted advisor who shapes client-facing solutions.
- Track record of sharing expertise, creating reusable assets, and contributing to training or thought-leadership initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Nice to have qualifications
- UiPath certifications such as Advanced Developer, Solution Architect, Infrastructure Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or Agentic Automation certifications.
- Experience with Power Automate and/or Automation Anywhere.
- Pre-sales, proposal development, technical sales support, and solution estimation experience.
- Experience with Agentic AI, AI Center, Action Center, or AI-powered automation solutions.
- Experience building AI solutions using Microsoft, GCP, Lang ecosystem, n8n, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to low-code platforms such as Appian, Mendix, or Power Apps.
- Python programming skills.
- Experience with Process Mining tools such as UiPath Process Mining or Celonis.
- Experience with UiPath Test Suite or other automation testing platforms.
- Experience working within global or distributed delivery environments.
