AI & Automation Technical Lead

United States

Roboyo is a category shaper in Agentic Automation. We help leading brands embed autonomous, AI‑powered agents into their workflows, processes, products and services so they can scale faster and operate smarter.

Built on a strong automation heritage, we focus on seamless integration of AI into enterprise level organization, not just proving concepts, but owning outcomes and driving value in every industry we are present. At Roboyo, you’ll join a global team of builders, consultants and engineers that are top practitioners of taking solutions to the next level for clients in pursuit of excellence.

The AI Lead is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role responsible for architecting and delivering end-to-end AI and agentic automation solutions for enterprise clients. This role sits at the intersection of technical delivery, system design, and strategic influence. You will build production-grade AI systems powered by LLMs and modern cloud platforms, while acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders—translating complex requirements into scalable solutions that drive real business value. In addition to delivery, you will mentor engineers, contribute to best practices, and help define how AI and agent-based systems are implemented across products, workflows, and enterprise environments. This is a builder-first role: you are expected to actively code and deliver systems in production. You will also play a key role in helping shape how enterprises adopt AI and agent-based systems at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end design and delivery of AI modules — from architecture to production deployment — for complex, multi-component features, leveraging GCP and Microsoft AI ecosystem capabilities
  • Define LLM integration patterns, RAG strategies, and data pipeline architectures; own technical quality and performance of these systems.
  • Act as the primary technical interface with cross-functional stakeholders; participate in requirements workshops and solution demos.
  • Drive design reviews, establish engineering standards, and actively mentor engineers on the team.
  • Identify and address technical debt, reliability risks, and scalability bottlenecks proactively.
  • Deliver agentic automation solutions across enterprise use cases

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of total software (backend) development experience
  • Strong Python + SQL skills
  • Experience building production-grade AI/ML systems
  • 2–4+ years hands-on experience with LLMs / Generative AI
  • Strong understanding of: LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines and vector search, AI agent frameworks and orchestration, and the ML lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with GCP (Vertex AI preferred) and familiarity with Microsoft AI ecosystem strongly preferred
  • Experience working in client-facing roles, partnering with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with agent frameworks or multi-agent systems
  • Exposure to automation / workflow platforms (RPA, low-code)
  • GCP certifications

Benefits

  • Work from home
  • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401k match
  • Unlimited vacation policy (take as many days as you need)
  • Monthly cell phone and internet reimbursement
