AP/AR Finance Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Specialist to join our European Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial processing, supporting smooth business operations, and contributing to ongoing improvements within the finance function. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both German and English and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
- Work as an integral member of the Europe AP and AR team.
- Produce, issue, and post sales invoices in accordance with group policies and procedures.
- Process, code, and obtain approval for accounts payable invoices.
- Post, match, and reconcile all incoming and outgoing payments and receipts.
- Assist with credit control activities and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
- Process employee expense reports in line with company policies.
- Raise payments on banking platforms for approval, where required.
Purchase Orders & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with opportunity owners to ensure vendor purchase orders are raised accurately and on time, following defined internal procedures.
- Support the correct distribution of services to end users.
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Assist with ad-hoc projects that support business development, including operational improvements, system changes, and supplier relationship enhancements.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all financial activities.
Team Collaboration
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Encourage open communication and knowledge sharing across the finance team and wider business.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
- Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives.
