Roboyo, a leading managed services firm specializing in intelligent automation, is seeking a highly skilled engineer to oversee the technical work for a diverse portfolio of development, operations, maintenance, and support engagements. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the technical success and continuous delivery of business value across our managed service engagements. The Lead Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of solution quality, driving the adoption of best practices, and ensuring the satisfaction of clients and the service delivery teams assigned to them. This role demands a proactive leader with a deep understanding of low-code application development or automation development, quality assurance, agile methodologies, and ITSM.

General: Responsibilities and tasks for this role

  • Collaborate with project managers and client service teams to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed service level commitments.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to improve service delivery processes and technologies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in intelligent automation and low-code development.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to technical resources in adopting new technologies, supporting new client engagements, and staying current with industry trends.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical quality of solutions being onboarded, ensuring they meet established standards.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans for solutions that fail to meet quality standards.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices and standards for low-code or automation solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices by all service delivery team members.
  • Manage the follow-up review and remediation of technical debt incurred during emergency fixes.
  • Guarantee the quality and accuracy of documentation, test cases, plans, code, source control, deployment pipelines, and solution design.
  • Design solutions that are reliable, resilient, and adaptable to changing environments and business needs.
  • Balance new design and development work with enhancement, maintenance, and support activities.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to senior engineers and engineers on complex issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with security and compliance standards of clients and Roboyo.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and proactiveness for the solutions within their portfolio.

Must-have qualifications & competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in automation or low-code application development.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing software solutions.
  • Proven track record of maintaining software applications or systems in a production environment.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and best practices for low-code application development (Appian, Druid,) or automation development (UIPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere).
  • Proficiency in quality assurance processes, including test case development, verification, planning, and management.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ITSM, particularly in service request management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with databases and SQL, as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience in DevOps and Git
  • Experience in process consulting.
  • Experience in IT support or participation in IT projects.
  • Knowledgeable in Agentic AI.
