Senior Automation Engineer - Power Apps (Managed Services)

What You'll Own   

  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of L3 requests. Handling the most complex technical issues, supporting and mentoring less senior team members, and upholding the quality of service object implementations. 
  • Use your data analytics skills to analyze the automated business processes of our clients and identify and eliminate potential “troublemakers” before they become problems  
  • Technically extend, improve, and customize automation solutions while maintaining close and regular contact with our clients  
  • Collaborate with support and development teams to address complex technical challenges. Mentor engineers and agents in technical issues.  
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on existing automations to ensure optimal performance.  
  • Coordinate operations and maintenance activities for large client accounts  
  • Test and optimize the software design, code, and reusability of our automation artifacts  
  • Ensure development follows best practices. Support in further development of best practices for developing automation solutions.  
  • Provide clear and concise communication to end-users and stakeholders regarding issue resolutions and maintenance schedules  
  • Consult, Provide expertise, guidance, and participation during the Onboarding and Service Transition of clients   
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards 

 


Must-have qualifications & competencies  

  • Develop and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform services such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and establish best practices. 
  • Provide insights and strategies for process optimization utilizing Microsoft Power Platform capabilities. 
  • Deliver across the full lifecycle of projects, from conception and design through to development, testing, deployment, and support. 
  • Support workshops and training sessions for internal teams and clients to ensure effective adoption of automation solutions. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to automation solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest updates and features within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps in particular) ecosystem and evaluate their applicability to current or future automation projects. 
  • Ensure and maintain regular close client contact 
  • Join and lead weekly project update meeting on the status of the technical implementation of the automation(s) 
  • Actively implement best practices 
  • Communicate and manage requirements with the clients service department 

Requirements

  • Training in Computer Science, Business & Information Systems Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent with minimum duration of 2 years 
  • 3+ years of  experience developing Power Apps and Power Platform solutions 
  • Experience and training in conventional programming, preferably with .NET, C#, VBA or Java 
  • Experience with other application/automation and integration tools (such as UiPath, Celonis, Appian etc.) is desirable 
  • Understanding of AI and Cognitive Services to enhance automation solutions would be a strong advantage 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure strong customer relationships 
  • Understanding of customers' processes, with experience in process consulting being advantageous 
  • ​Fluent in English and/or Spanish

Skills that are big plus   

  • Experience in process consulting  
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript and other scripting languages  
  • Experience in IT support or IT projects  
  • Understanding of service management  
  • French, German, Spanish, or Italian language skills
