Senior DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Docker containers and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters using automated pipelines.
• Manage and operate Azure infrastructure including VMs, networking, storage, IAM, Key Vault, and Security Groups.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including release workflows and infrastructure automation.
• Monitor/Logging system performance using tools like Elastic Agent, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with development and client teams to implement robust, scalable DevOps solutions.
• Ensure service reliability through SLA/SLO/SLI tracking and proactive issue resolution.
• Provide on-call support on a rotational basis for high-priority incidents.
• Continuously improve system architecture, automation, and operational processes.
• Stay current with industry best practices and evolving cloud-native technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, container orchestration, and Kubernetes core components (e.g., Pods, PVs, Services, ConfigMap, DNS, networking).
• Proven experience with Azure services including storage, virtual machines, networking, IAM, and security configurations.
• Solid understanding and usage of CI/CD tools (especially Azure DevOps) with the ability to write pipelines stages in YAML.
• Experience with Logging and observability tools: Elastic Agent, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and Grafana.
• Comfortable with both Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiar with version control systems, especially Git.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English.
• Have or meet UK Enhanced Security checks to support clients of national importance.

Nice to Have

• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell and Python
• Kubernetes certification (CKA, CKAD) is a plus.
• ITIL knowledge or experience in service management is beneficial.
