International Account Manager

About this role:

At Renaissance our Account Manager in our international team plays a vital role in driving business growth and maintaining customer excellence through strategic account management of our international school customers.  

Your focus will be on building and nurturing strong customer relationships, ensuring high retention rates, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth through cross-selling and up-selling whilst maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction levels.  

What you’ll be doing: 

You will be spending 60% of your time focusing on Sales and Customer Engagement, which will include activities such as  

  • Direct customer interaction  
  • Sales activities  
  • Product adoption and usage optimisation  
  • Renewal management  
  • Cross-sell and up-sell initiatives  

The other 40% of your time will be  focusing on Strategy and Account Development, which will include activities such as:  

  • Account planning and strategy development  
  • Relationship building  
  • Market analysis  
  • Administrative duties  
  • Team collaboration  

Account Manager – International Job Responsibilities: 

Account Management and Sales  

  • Drive customer retention through proactive relationship management and strategic account planning  
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets through renewal management and growth opportunities  
  • Develop and execute account strategies to maximise product adoption and usage  
  • Identify and pursue cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing accounts  
  • Ensure customers maximise the value of their Renaissance products through effective utilisation  
  • Monitor account health and address potential risks proactively  

Customer Success and Support  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts  
  • Ensure successful product implementation and adoption  
  • Identify and coordinate training requirements with internal teams  
  • Provide timely resolution to customer enquiries and escalations  
  • Monitor customer usage patterns and provide recommendations for optimisation  

Business Operations  

  • Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems  
  • Generate and process customer quotes and orders with 100% accuracy  
  • Develop and deliver customer business reviews  
  • Track and report on key performance metrics (retention rates, customer satisfaction, revenue growth)  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success  

Skills and experience required: 

To be considered for the role of Account Manager in the international team you will be a seasoned account management professional preferably within in education technology sector and hold strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.  You will also have: 

  • Knowledge of educational assessment and learning technologies (D) 
  • Experience in international education markets (D) 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (E) 
  • Experience with solution selling methodology (D) 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) (E) 
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM systems (E) 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively (E)

Additional information: 

  • This role is based in Brentford offices – hybrid based 3 days a week in the office. Some travel to other locations as needed. (Office Address: Renaissance Vantage London, Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9AG)
  • Position may require international travel to support customer relationships and sales activities
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones to support global customer base
