Warehouse and Logistics Operative, Full or Part-time
Role Overview
The purpose of the role is to assist with the smooth running of logistics operations at Refeyn’s manufacturing facilities. Refeyn has a range of products from large crate shipped instruments to a range of small courier shipped consumables. The role would be responsible for general warehouse duties including goods-inward, goods-outward, put away of stock, picking of stock, packing of stock items to go out, and the operating of the associated equipment to accomplish all of these tasks. The role would suit someone with experience in manual work. This person would be able to work to agreed deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They will have a focus on the health and safety of themselves, co-workers and those present in the immediate environment.
We can offer this role on either a full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time basis (minimum 15 hours per week), Monday-Friday.
Areas of Responsibility
- Process goods inwards:
- Unpack all packages to count contents and to locate all paperwork
- Process in company warehouse management system (WMS)
- Put away all stock
- Process goods outwards:
- Pick and pack components for shipment according to existing SOP/WI’s to include small package consumables and large package scientific instruments
- Prepare boxes, crates, and flight cases for shipments including placing proper documentation inside the containers and placing proper documentation on the outside of the containers
- Transporting instruments and associated components around the manufacturing site, to and from the loading bay, and between facilities, using pallet trucks, powered forklift equipment (not forklift trucks), lifting gear etc. where required
- Scanning and storing accurate paperwork for all shipments as per SOP’s and WI’s
- Interacting with Netsuite ERP system to transact shipments on time and accurately
- Picking items for warehouse work orders for manufacture
- Participating in the monthly/quarterly/annual stock counts
- Tracking global shipments and reporting on POD’s and issues
- Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor with any Ad hoc tasks needed
- Promoting a clean working environment, helping to keep the manufacturing space safe, clean and tidy
Full training will be provided for this role, but the following skills and experience would be an advantage:
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Manual handling knowledge
- Use of computer to include Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams)
- Following written Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
- Experience with use of a power lifter and pallet truck
- Experience with banding and strapping machines
