Project Manager
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. They will coordinate and manage resources, communicate with stakeholders, and oversee the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion. This role involves risk management and performance tracking to ensure project objectives are met. The Project Manager also facilitates collaboration among team members, resolves issues, and maintains project documentation. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential to successfully guide projects to successful outcomes.
Primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resources. Ensure successful execution from initiation to completion.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources efficiently to meet project objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper resource allocation. Monitor expenditures and ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues. Facilitate effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and take corrective actions as needed.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress using appropriate tools and techniques. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project health and make necessary adjustments.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes. Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and logs. Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and management.
We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable
- 2+ years of experience in Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget within the life sciences industry.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Trello) and methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify risks, develop solutions, and drive decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results on time, in scope and in budget
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
