Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

Refeyn is looking to expand their consumables ranges. We are looking for highly passionate people to join the team and support the sourcing of key products with external supplier. The suppliers we currently have need to be reviewed, supplier and quality agreements have to be put in place, prices have to be negotiated, ramp-ups to be managed and logistics to be set up.

Primary responsibilities for this role include:  

  • Improving the supply chain performance through improved supply chain planning practices.
  • Implementing and managing competitive sourcing processes, RFPs, supplier selection, and contract processes.
  • Analysing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
  • Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
  • Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
  • Understanding the technology roadmap of critical suppliers and communicate throughout the organization with a formal commodity strategy.
  • Manage supplier base to ensure supply continuity, service, and quality.
  • Being a cornerstone of the organization, focusing on direct procurement support for consumables .
  • Manage inventory to minimize risks and increase turn and cash flow.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the supply chain of the consumable unit.
  • Comply with policies related to financial policies, procurement policies, confidentiality and risk management policies and communicate policies to suppliers and stakeholders to minimize risks.
  • Partner with sales to improve economics and execution on deals and ongoing businesses.
  • Identify new technologies and solutions for internal business partners. 

We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in business or engineering or similar education.
  • 3-5 years proven experience in sourcing, negotiation, market/product/supplier analysis, and contract formulation.
  • Exemplary leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Cross department communication
  • Ability to travel to customer/supplier sites

  • We anticipate a salary between £50,000 and £65,000 for this role, depending on the candidate’s experience.
