Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team. The SDR will be responsible for identifying potential customers, generating qualified leads, and supporting the sales pipeline through proactive outreach and relationship building. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a growth mindset, and a passion for sales and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective customers through outbound prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and other channels.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on business needs, budget, timeline, and fit.
- Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives or senior sales team members.
- Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and pipeline activity in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize lead generation strategies and messaging.
- Follow up consistently with prospects to nurture relationships and move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs, including outreach activity, qualified meetings, and pipeline targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and company products/services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, customer service, or business development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Ability to handle rejection positively and maintain persistence.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or startup environments.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies such as SPIN, MEDDIC, or Challenger Sales.
- Proficiency with sales engagement tools and LinkedIn prospecting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
