Junior QA (Quality Assurance) Manual Tester

At Protelion Research and Development Center, a leading cybersecurity company specializing in data protection products and solutions, we are looking for Junior QA (Quality Assurance) Manual Tester— for either a full-time position or an internship (with potential to grow into a long-term role).

Requirements

• Software testing basics: Understanding the principles and methods of software tests.
• Fundamentals of web application: Understanding the functioning and architecture of web applications.
• SQL bases: Knowledge of the basic query language for databases is an advantage.
• Test documentation: ability to create test plans, test cases and error report.
• Bug tracking systems: Basic knowledge of the use of tools like Jira for tracking errors.

It is a plus if you also have:

• Linux: Knowledge of basic Linux commands, writing Bash scripts
• Knowledge of the basics of computer networks: Knowledge of basic protocols such as TCP/IP, understanding of Ethernet and Wi-Fi technologies, knowledge of equipment used to build networks such as routers, switches, and cables.
• Creating test stands in a VMware virtual environment
• Attentiveness, perseverance, and the ability to formulate thoughts.
• Programming languages: Java, Python, C#.

What you will actually be doing:

• Manual testing VPN&Messenger Apps on Android, iOS, Windows, Linux.
• Working with Linux server components for push notifications and group chats in the Messenger application.
• Network Problem Analysis.
• Creating bugs, Issues in the bug-tracking system, retesting fixed bugs.
• Working with documentation, learning new software and testing it.
• Effective communicate with team members about found bugs and requirements.
