The Role

As our new Product Lead at Prolific, you will take your place as one of the leaders of Prolific’s Product, Research, and Design Group. 

Impact: You will be the Product person responsible for the impact and outcomes of the Human Data Product Group, working on career-defining opportunities to change the make-up of the AI agents and intelligences that will come to act on behalf of our species…no big deal! You’ll report into Prolific’s VP of Product, and will work cross-functionally, as the Human Data space at Prolific is made up of several strategic areas of the organization.

Domain: You’ll bring experience building AI systems or helping others build AI systems, and will be able to dive deep into the human-powered workflows of the world’s AI training infrastructure. This domain is high-stakes and fast-evolving – we are looking for someone who learns exceptionally fast, drives urgency, and embraces change by default. 

Responsibilities: You will have people management responsibilities over your Group’s Product Managers. In addition, you will be responsible for product managing a stream-aligned team of your own.

What you'll be doing

• You’ll bring your varied Product career experience to bear to solve user problems and create new opportunities for users to fall in love with Prolific.
• You’ll build on our great roots to help elevate Prolific’s Product Management team into a world-leading one, known for their approach to making bets and building products that customers love and which drive commercial value for our business.
• You’ll spend a lot of your time coaching behaviors and skills, and modeling game-changing approaches by doing. 
• You will be an unblocker and simplifier of complexity: colleagues will bring you problems, and emerge optimistic, with solutions.
• You’ll partner productively with Product Design, User Research, Analytics, and Engineering to find ways to deliver products in a test-learn-iterate fashion. 

What you’ll bring

• An extensive and varied track record, and ability to teach and inspire others. 
• An understanding, ideally via demonstrable experience, of the different needs businesses and enterprises have when it comes to their software products and contracts (B2B) vs what individual consumers expect (B2C).
• Competence or expertise in most or all of:
• The industry’s prevailing Product tools, models, and methodologies, hands-on experience of Agile frameworks, Continuous Discovery, CI/CD, JTBD frameworks, thin or vertical slicing, self-organizing teams, Team Topologies, advocacy of ‘thinking in bets,’ test-learn-iterate loops, and Growth loops / Growth hacking.
• Strong data literacy and true data-driven decision-making and the ability to coach this.
• People management or extensive coaching experience, with a track record of success in developing world-class technologists.
• A storyteller’s flair, a player/coach instinct, belief in ‘strong opinions weakly held’, personal accountability, and a relentless can-do attitude. 

Even better if you have

• Experience teaching others at scale.
• Scale-up or startup experience. 
• AI/ML training / AI/ML development experience.
• A track record of giving back to your Product community.
