The role

You will support a small team of legal and information security professionals in advising the business in legal, compliance, and risk matters. Prolific is a fast-paced, agile business that is growing quickly. You will need to be a self-starter and adaptable and dynamic, with excellent and succinct communication skills. In return, the business and role will offer you a chance to really advance your career.  You’ll be working on a broad range of legal and compliance matters and interacting with multiple teams and stakeholders.  

What you’ll bring to the role

• A law degree, and ideally have completed the LPC (or equivalent)
• Experience as a paralegal, ideally in a fast-growth business
• Demonstrable experience reviewing and drafting contracts
• Some data privacy experience; or at the very least an interest in data privacy
• Comfortable getting involved in different areas of business, law and compliance (e.g. commercial contracts, data privacy, information security and marketing)
• Experience working with and supporting multiple stakeholders, and in particular sales teams
• Attention to detail and well-developed analytical skills
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• An energetic and proactive approach with the ability to use initiative on tasks and projects 
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team when required
• Ability to work under some pressure and adopt a commercial approach where necessary

 

Nice to have

• Relevant experience within a tech or digital business
• Experience assisting with an organisation’s data privacy compliance programme or initiatives 

 

  What you’ll be doing in the role 

• Building a good understanding of Prolific’s operations and objectives and how our legal and information security team can support and enable these
• Conducting legal and general research and communicating findings in a succinct manner which is relevant to the business
• Drafting and completing compliance documentation in line with legal and regulatory requirements (particularly with respect to data privacy)
• Assisting with formulating or improving legal and compliance processes across the business
• Supporting onboarding clients, including reviewing and completing due diligence forms
• Supporting the development and implementation of our information security programme, including certifications (e.g. ISO27001)
• Liaising with different stakeholders across the business as needed
• Conducting high-level contract reviews to highlight key risk areas
