Responsibilities:

The Data Science role will play a critical role in the current phase of accelerated growth of Powerdot and the expansion of our EV charging network. Data Science and AI are part of the central Data & CRM team that develops Powerdot’s Data Strategy, its CRM and drive s business data-driven decisions. This role focuses on developing data science applications to enhance Powerdot’s processes and decision-making through automation, augmentation, and insights generation. The Data Scientist will have the opportunity to utilise statistical and machine learning techniques, including generative AI, to maximise the impact of data at Powerdot.

As a central function, this role will work closely with the Product and Engineering organization as well as all other Powerdot’s Central & Local teams. Being such an important role, we expect the Data Scientist to further cement these culture pillars across our organisation. You will have a dynamic day-to-day, characterised by a multiplicity of functions of the greatest importance:

• Develop the Data Science practice at Powerdot by establishing development frameworks & ways of working with artificial intelligence;
• Explore, test and build Proof of Concepts models that have the potential to be productized and support Powerdot’s vision and business objectives;
• Lead the development of Data Science Products at Powerdot;
• Collaborate with the wider Data, Product and Engineering team to continuously solve complex data problems

The Candidate we are looking for:

• Have a high proactive and independent entrepreneurial spirit, combined with an enormous capacity of problem-solving and decision making;
• Over 5 years of experience implementing and developing Data Science products from c oncept to production;
• Highly knowledgeable in SQL;
• Highly skilled in Python development, including in data science and machine learning li braries (e.g., polars, tensorflow, keras, pytorch); 
• Sound understanding of statistics;
• Have an important sense of organisation and priorities management.
• Have great verbal, and written communication skills in Portuguese or English.
• Have an interest and enthusiasm for the area of electric mobility and, although not fund amental, experiences in the area or in a related area are highly valued.
