We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Accounting with strong SaaS industry expertise to oversee and scale our accounting operations. This role will have a primary focus on revenue recognition under ASC 606 and U.S. compliance (GAAP, tax, and regulatory filings). The ideal candidate will bring proven experience supporting finance and accounting functions through late-stage growth—including scaling from Series D to Series E funding and supporting the company’s path to $100M ARR and beyond. This position is highly visible, partnering with key stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and Sales, and will play a critical role in preparing the organization for continued growth and potential exit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

  • Oversee revenue recognition for customer contracts, including subscription, usage-based, and professional services revenue in compliance with ASC 606.

  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and Sales teams to align contract terms with revenue recognition policies.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system implementations to strengthen accounting operations as the company scales.

  • Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, contracts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support all statutory filings, including federal, state, and local tax compliance.

  • Act as a key accounting member during hyper-growth phases, with direct experience of scaling operations to support late-stage fundraising and ARR milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a SaaS or high-growth technology environment.

  • Strong expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition and U.S. GAAP.

  • Experience with U.S. tax compliance (corporate tax, sales tax, state/local).

  • Demonstrated success in late-stage SaaS growth environments, ideally supporting transitions from Series D/E funding rounds or scaling to $100M+ ARR.

  • Proven ability to lead accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting at scale.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., Xero/ Netsuite).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling SaaS environment and adapt quickly to evolving priorities.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and present financial information to key stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation or public accounting experience.

  • Prior experience preparing a SaaS company for IPO-readiness or strategic exit.

  • Familiarity with multi-entity, multi-currency operations.

  • Background in implementing process automation and scalable financial systems.
