Senior Full Stack Engineer 

PolyAI is tackling the challenges of automating customer service through voice. Our voice assistants make it possible for businesses to deliver outstanding customer service at every touchpoint.

We’re on the lookout for Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Team and play a key role in delivering the next generation of our no-code agent studio platform. In this role, you’ll be leading the design and development of features that power insight generation, reporting, and the data-driven backbone of our no-code platform for building voice assistants.

You’ll take ownership of technical design and delivery, mentor other engineers, and collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and a delight to use. Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Working independently on the technical design and implementation of full stack features for our agent studio platform, from UI through backend to data pipelines.
  • Guiding architectural decisions for our multi-tenant infrastructure and ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Collaborating with other engineers, leads and product managers to create new data-driven features.
  • Mentoring and supporting other engineers on the team, fostering technical excellence and a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Taking responsibility for code quality, testing practices, and release processes.
  • Driving improvements to developer experience, observability, and performance across the stack.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years professional software engineering experience, with significant experience delivering both backend and frontend features in production.
  • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in a modern frontend framework (React preferred).
  • Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation, and schema design.
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Solid grasp of system design, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience leading technical projects, including scoping, architecture, and delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tooling.
  • Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with Golang or other backend languages in addition to Python.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as scrum, kanban, and sprints.
  • A background or interest in building low-code or no-code platforms.
  • Enjoyment of technical challenges and a desire to contribute directly to solutions.
