About the Delivery Management team: 

The Delivery Management team at Policy Expert plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of strategic technology and business initiatives across our organisation. We are responsible for bringing structure, clarity, and accountability to complex programmes, ensuring alignment with executive and strategic objectives. The team fosters collaboration across technical and business functions, utilising agile methodologies and JIRA as the workflow management tool of choice.  

Your day to day: 

You will report into the Delivery Management function but lead the Data & Analytics Platform Tribe (part of Group Data), with the mission to build, mature and transition into BAU a greenfield GCP-based data & analytics platform. As the Programme Manager for the Data & Analytics Platform at Policy Expert, you will: 

• Have the ultimate responsibility for delivering the Data & Analytics Platform, overseeing three cross-functional squads: Infrastructure, Data Modelling, and Migration & Decommission. 
• Provide comprehensive programme management, including planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, and managing risks and dependencies with other programmes and initiatives. 
• Collaborate closely with Finance to monitor budgets, forecasts, and spend, ensuring financial clarity and accountability throughout the programme. 
• Collaborate with Product Management, Delivery Management, Group Data and other business stakeholders to make sure the solution is fit for purpose, delivered on time and within budget. 
• Regularly prepare and deliver transparent, structured progress reports to key stakeholders, including the programme Sponsor (Group Head of Data), Exec team, and Board. 
• Facilitate effective vendor and stakeholder management, maintaining clear, consistent, and productive communication across all programme touchpoints. 
• Ensure appropriate use of workflow management and agile delivery practices, leveraging tools such as JIRA to plan work, track milestones, manage backlogs (in partnership with Product Management), and report transparently on the programme health. 
• Champion clarity and structure, resolving ambiguity, and driving decision-making to keep the programme aligned with strategic objectives and delivery timelines. 

Who are you: 

• An experienced Programme Manager with proven expertise leading complex, multi-workstream technology initiatives—ideally cloud data and analytics platform implementations. 
• Adept at managing delivery in agile and cross-functional environments, skilled at providing structure, clarity, and governance to programme execution. Ideally you are familiar with the product management mindset, scaled Agile and/or the Spotify model. 
• Strong financial acumen, experienced in budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting at senior levels. 
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management capabilities, able to confidently engage, influence, and communicate clearly with senior executives and technical teams alike. 
• Familiarity with data functions, tech stacks, outputs, and ways of working. Previous experience in the insurance sector is helpful. 
• Proficient in workflow management tools (e.g. JIRA), ensuring streamlined processes, transparent reporting, and effective collaboration. 
• Strategic thinker with exceptional organisational skills, able to proactively manage programme risks, dependencies, and outcomes, maintaining alignment with broader business strategies and priorities. 
• Highly effective communicator, able to provide compelling updates and presentations to executive-level stakeholders, ensuring continued alignment and support throughout the programme lifecycle.
