What you’ll get to do

As a Backend Developer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing scalable server-side applications and APIs that power our platform. You'll work closely with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to build performant and secure systems.

AMONG OTHER THINGS YOU WILL

Develop server-side logic and write clean and maintainable code following best practices
Design and implement robust, maintainable, and scalable RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails
Optimize application performance, including database queries and overall efficiency
Troubleshoot and debug issues, continuously improving system stability and implementing security and data protection measures
Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to the team effort
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with backend services

WHO YOU ARE

Several years of relevant experience in software development, with expertise in backend developing using Ruby on Rails
Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns
Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
Proficient in version control systems (e.g. Git) and container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure) and frontend technologies (g. HTML, CSS or JavaScript) is considered an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset
High level of accountability, quality awareness, and reliability in task execution

The annual gross salary for this position based on a full-time employment depending on your individual professional qualifications and previous experience ranges from € 52,500- to € 63,000-. This includes: full health insurance, occupational accident insurance, public pension scheme and public unemployment insurance.
