People Partner (m/f/d) 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, mid-level People Partner to join our growing team! In this newly shaped role, you’ll merge HR operations and HR Business Partner functions to create seamless processes and bridge team gaps. You'll dive straight into ongoing projects, ensuring things get across the finish line. (Please note: This position is open only to candidates based in or commutable to Berlin.)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Act as a go-to partner and trusted advisor for managers, providing guidance on performance, feedback, team development, and employee relations.
  • Jump into ongoing projects, ensuring they're finalized efficiently and effectively—no unfinished business here!
  • Contribute to performance management cycles, employee engagement strategies, and succession planning.
  • Support and elevate learning & development initiatives, helping managers spot growth opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate closely with team leads to nurture inclusive, equitable team environments and address employee relations topics with sensitivity and compliance.
  • Manage core employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, offboarding, internal role changes, and documentation.
  • Prepare and manage employment contracts and ensure smooth communication with payroll providers.
  • Ensure compliance with German labor regulations, including parental leave, vacation guidelines, working hours, and social insurance.
  • Coordinate benefits administration, providing clear, helpful guidance to employees.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Solid experience in HR/People roles, ideally within international teams and fast-paced environments.
  • Deep familiarity with German labor law, particularly maternity leave, vacation rules, employment contracts, social security, and visa processes.
  • A passion for problem-solving, with a knack for driving projects to completion through a process-driven, data-informed approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail—you're comfortable juggling multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, with solid, communicative German proficiency, particularly related to German labor law.
  • Enthusiasm for staying ahead in HR trends and practices.
  • Experience with HR platforms (we use Personio), along with an interest or familiarity in other tools such as Greenhouse, CultureAmp, Harvest, etc. 
  • Discretion and reliability—you'll be a trusted confidant within our team.
  • Empathy, adaptability, and an ability to thrive in dynamic situations, effortlessly bridging different working styles.
