The Sales Manager is responsible for attracting, approaching, and acquiring new merchants for the company’s payment gateway solutions. This role focuses on identifying prospects, presenting the company’s products, converting leads into active clients, and expanding the overall merchant portfolio. The ideal candidate will proactively build strong relationships, represent the company at key industry events, and drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition, preferably in the payments, fintech, gaming, or online services sectors. 
  • Strong ability to identify, approach, and attract potential merchants. 
  • Proven track record in sales negotiations, pitching, and closing deals. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence in presenting to various audiences. 
  • Understanding of payment processing, gateways, online transactions, and relevant industry trends. 
  • Ability to independently generate leads and manage the full sales cycle. 
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools. 
  • Strong networking skills and readiness to represent the company at expos, conferences, and industry events. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market needs. 
  • Team-player mindset with the ability to collaborate with technical, onboarding, and compliance teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential merchants who can benefit from the company’s payment gateway solutions. 
  • Build, manage, and grow a pipeline of qualified leads. 
  • Conduct sales calls, product demos, and presentations to prospective clients. 
  • Represent the company at major industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to network and generate leads. 
  • Convert prospective merchants into active clients through effective pitching and negotiation. 
  • Prepare commercial proposals, contracts, and pricing models. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding for newly acquired merchants. 
  • Maintain accurate data in the CRM and deliver regular sales reports. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and merchant needs to optimize sales strategies. 
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
