We are seeking a Product Strategy & Research Analyst to join our Product team. This role bridges product research, competitive intelligence, and strategic insight — driving clarity on where our products stand, where the market is heading, and what we should build next.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Designers, and Business stakeholders to uncover opportunities, analyze competition, and help shape our roadmap based on data, research, and real market dynamics.

This is a role for someone who loves to ask “why?”, thrives on understanding details, and can translate insights into actionable product direction.

Responsibilities

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct market and competitor research across payment orchestration platforms, PSPs, and fintech ecosystem. 

  • Track emerging payment methods (APMs, crypto, open banking, etc.) and evolving regulatory trends that could impact our roadmap.

  • Build and maintain a competitive intelligence database comparing features, pricing models, and value propositions.

  • Present regular insight summaries to product leadership and business teams.

Product Gap Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Deeply understand our platform’s architecture, features, and integrations.

  • Identify functional and UX gaps compared to market leaders or merchant expectations.

  • Work with Product Managers to translate findings into new feature ideas or improvements.

  • Help define success metrics for proposed improvements and measure outcomes post-release.

Feedback & Insights Gathering

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Merchant Success, Compliance, Tech) to collect merchant feedback and pain points.

  • Transform raw feedback into structured reports that inform roadmap priorities.

  • Identify patterns across feedback, incidents, and feature requests.

Data & Strategic Analysis

  • Support PMs in analyzing feature performance, adoption, and transaction data.

  • Identify trends in merchant behavior, payment method performance, and success rates.

  • Provide data-backed recommendations for improving approval rates, reducing costs, or expanding coverage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with PMs and Designers in the discovery phase of new features.

  • Support the Director of Products with quarterly strategic reviews and roadmap justification through evidence and research.

  • Maintain strong alignment between product, business, and technology goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in product research, product strategy, or competitive intelligence, ideally in payments, fintech, or SaaS.

  • Deep understanding of payment systems.

  • Skilled in market analysis, benchmarking, and SWOT assessments.

  • Comfortable using tools like Confluence, Excel or BI dashboards to organize and present insights.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Naturally curious, structured, and passionate about improving products through evidence-based insights.
