Reporting to a Conducting officer of the AIFM, the role involves (i) responsibility for the oversight of fund delegates across all Permira Private Equity and Credit funds, and (ii) day-to-day involvement in the governance, domiciliation and financial control of a number of Permira Credit funds.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who can work as part of a close team, but also be a self-starter. The successful candidate should be professional, demonstrate good communication and inter-personal skills, with a willingness to learn and further develop their career within the AIFM of a leading global Asset Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Fund Delegates oversight by the AIFM:
- Support the AIFM Conducting Officer responsible for oversight of funds administrators, transfer agents and depositary banks according to AIFM delegation monitoring plan
- Performance of initial due diligences (including on-site visit, assessment of risk profile, implementation of monitoring measures and plans, and internal reporting)
- Ongoing monitoring of delegates including, but not limited to collection, review and analyse of quarterly KPIs and other information received from all delegates
- Performance of ongoing due diligence (including on-site visit, re-assessment of risk profile, and internal reporting)
- Prepare written reporting to AIFM Management Committee and Board as well as funds' boards
- Assisting Compliance team in preparing regulatory filing and reporting pertaining to funds delegates
- Assisting the AIFM Conducting Officer in dealing with internal and external audit queries and controls pertaining to funds delegates
Fund Control & Reporting:
- Oversee a portfolio of direct lending Credit Funds including review of accounting records, annual accounts, capital account statements and other investors reports
- Support the board of directors of the credit funds and SPVs on corporate, legal and tax matters related to fund governance
- Maintain and oversee corporate records and statutory files for credit funds and SPVs
- Coordinate and oversee the year end audit
- Cash management, including the initiation and oversight the distribution , capital calls, etc.
- Supervise the deal execution
- Review foreign tax reporting and oversee the annual Lux tax compliance processes as well as ad hoc tax-related requests
- Support the implementation of the hedging strategy of the funds
- Assist with specific transaction or restructuring by liaising with administrator, tax and legal advisors, etc.
- Assist the Capital Formation team with fund finance related cyclical and ad-hoc queries
- Assist with ad-hoc projects including process automation and data strategy
Essential Skills and Characteristics
- Qualified accountant (experience of the private credit and/or private equity industry, either through audit, Fund administration or in-house)
- Experience with AIFMD regulation and exposure to Alterative Investment Funds domiciled in Luxembourg
- Between 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Fluent and able to work in English
- Intermediate Excel user is essential (and experience in other applications would be beneficial)
- Excellent organisational skills. The role requires the individual to be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously across a variety of products and work streams
- Highly personable, with the ability to influence and create relationships at all levels
- Excellent teamworking skills as the role will involve extensive interaction with both organisational and investment professionals across the globe
- Strong analytical skills / highly numerate
- Attention to detail and the ability to explain and interpret data
- An interest in the dynamics of alternative asset management, complemented by a broad understanding of capital markets and investment concepts
- Comfortable working within an international environment which will include cross office collaboration
