Reporting to a Director of Fund Operations, the individual will support both the Fund Finance and Transaction Operations teams with responsibilities across several of Permira’s Private Equity Funds covering Buyout and Growth.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who can work as part of a close team, but also be a self-starter. The successful candidate should be professional, demonstrate good communication and inter-personal skills, with a willingness to learn and further develop their career within the Fund Operations function of a leading global Private Equity Firm.  

Key Responsibilities

Fund Finance:

  • Liaising with the fund administrator’s accounting & admin team to support the preparation of investor reporting templates
  • Supporting the team across BAU management reporting and ad hoc information requests across the Funds
  • Tracking and analysing fund and deal cash flows and producing key statistics with updates on deal closing processes and input into fund treasury planning
  • Supporting the operational management of LP’s Co-Investment positions across new transactions and ongoing reporting

Transaction Operations:

  • Providing support to the administrative processes required to execute Permira fund transactions (new acquisitions, portfolio company follow – on and exits / partial-realisations)
  • Assist with the coordination of the Investment Checklist (primary responsibility to assist with the collection of conflicts checks)
  • Potential to develop role further to assist Transactions Operations team with closing workstreams such as funds flow
  • Ad-hoc tasks such as weekly preparation of fund cash flows and deal execution meeting agenda.

Essential Skills and Characteristics

  • Fluent and able to work in English
  • Intermediate Excel user is essential (and experience in other applications would be beneficial )
  • Excellent organisational skills. The role requires the individual to be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously across a variety of products and work streams
  • Highly personable, with the ability to influence and create relationships at all levels
  • Excellent teamworking skills as the role will involve extensive interaction with both organisational and investment professionals across the globe
  • Strong analytical skills / highly numerate
  • Attention to detail and the ability to explain and interpret data
  • An interest in the dynamics of private equity and asset management
  • Comfortable working within an international environment which will include cross office collaboration

Training will be provided to allow the individual to learn more about all aspects of Private Equity and exposure to integral components of fund control and reporting along with transaction execution.
