Associate, Capital Formation (Co-Investment)

Permira Credit is one of Europe’s leading specialist debt management businesses comprising four strategies: Direct Lending, Structured Credit, CLO Management and newly launched Strategic Opportunities. Since inception in 2007, our funds have provided over €20bn+ of capital to over 300+ European businesses. Permira Credit has supported companies across diverse industries but is mainly focused on companies active in business services, technology, and healthcare. Permira Credit is owned by Permira and currently has 95+ employees mainly based in London. Over the next four years, Permira Credit is planning to grow its credit assets under management to € 25n.

Permira is looking to hire an Associate to join their Global Capital Formation team. The role is based in Madrid and will support the responsible Co-Investment Directoron the execution of PE and Credit Co-Investments with the opportunity to overtime manage several processes independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of PE and credit co-investments – overtime manage several live co-investment processes independently
  • Liaise with deal teams to understand deal process and timetable and formulate appropriate co-investment plan
  • Compilation of materials to share with co-investors, managing the distribution of materials, NDAs, NRLs, etc.
  • Update and track co-investment stats on Dealcloud to help determine appropriate allocation of co-investments based on strategic priorities of the firm
  • Coordinate and host calls with prospective and existing co-investors
  • Lead post co-investment reporting programme (quarterly update calls with co-investors, respond to quarterly / ad hoc queries, etc.)

Desired Experience / Background

  • ~3 years of relevant experience in the financial industry is preferred (investment banking or PE/credit fund)
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Good standard of education A-level or equivalent
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English
  • Excellent project management skills; experience managing DD processes is a plus
  • Team player with ability to build relationships across the organisation and with senior management
  • High level of self motivation, integrity and enthusiasm with a strong desire to improve systems and processes
  • Resilient and willing to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • IT skills usage of PPT & excel
