About the Role
We are soliciting applications for an MBA internship seat for around 12 weeks starting Summer 2025, to work alongside the team in Permira’s Singapore office.
Interns will assist in all aspects of the investment process (see below) and will be required to handle a meaningful level of responsibility, including but not limited to financial modeling, valuation analyses, debt financing, commercial and operational due diligence, industry research and deal sourcing.
Applicants should bring previous private equity experience or 3-4 years banking and/or management consulting experience. Applicants must be eligible to work in Singapore and able to work full-time for around 12 weeks from early Summer 2025 (some flexibility on start date).
Identifying and Analyzing Investment Opportunities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of industry issues and outlook
- Research, analyze and evaluate opportunities within the designated sector
- Build and develop complex financial models to aide in the evaluation of investment opportunities (including testing assumptions and sensitivities)
- Work as part of the team to identify the key value creation levers and investment risks and compile the materials and analysis to support the investment case
- Attend and participate in Investment Committee discussions
Execution:
- Play a support role in the diligence of the investment thesis and risks
- Assist with the overall deal execution
- Liaise with (and manage) third parties and professional advisors (financial, legal, consultants etc.)
Portfolio Monitoring:
- Monitor ongoing financial performance of portfolio companies
- Compile internal company performance and valuation reporting
- Assist in building and leveraging relationships that will assist in contributing to the strategy of the investment
